1. One bike per team (must be a mountain bike or hybrid bike). Participants are responsible for bringing their own bike.
No road, triathlon or cyclocross bikes are allowed! Unicycles are encouraged.
2. Both participants will start the race together. All bikers will be lined up at the front of the start line, with all runners
behind the bikers.
3. While on the course, runners stay to the right side of the road and bikes pass on the left. Be courteous to other racers
around you.
4. Each team is required to switch skills after each obstacle. You may only switch skills at the obstacle/transition areas. There
are 5 obstacles/transition areas on the course and the mud pit at the finish.
5. The biker will drop the bike in the transition area at each obstacle. The runner will complete the obstacle and then find the
bike in the transition area.
6. You do not have to wait for your team mate after each obstacle (unless you want to).
7. BOTH participants MUST wear a helmet at all times with the chinstrap buckled. Participants are responsible for bringing their
own helmets to the race. Timing chips must be placed securely on one of the racer's helmets.
8. Bike number plates will be provided, but we also suggest getting creative with marking your bike so that it is easily
identifiable in the transition areas.
9. All racers must have a MINIMUM of one water bottle on the bike or a hydration system.
10. There is no running, jumping or diving into the mud pit. Participants MUST crawl on their belly through tthe mud pit in order to
complete the race.
11. Teams must finish the race together! Therefore, you will need to wait for your team mate at the Holding Area
adjacent to the finish line in order to cross the finish line together.
12. There will be an area to rinse off after the race - so you may want to bring a towel, and extra clothes to change into - you
won't want to miss the post race party and the awards ceremony.
13. All racers must be at least 11 years old to participate in the Dirty Duo, and at least 5 years old to participate in the Dirty Duo Jr.
14. All racers will need to sign a waiver before you are able to race. If you are under the age of 18 on race day, you will need a parent's
or legal guardian's signature on the waiver!
15. Race entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.
16. Race entry fees are NON-TRANSFERRABLE.
